Our June holiday program is tailored for students to make the most of their break by preparing them for the upcoming semester. Additionally, we offer a Composition Writing class and mock exams specifically for P6 students.
假期学习营 Holiday Study Camp Course Content:
1. Essay Writing 文笔独舞-写作探险营:
This writing course aims to equip students with fundamental writing skills, develop their creative thinking, and enhance their ability to articulate in words.
2. Oral 说说有趣-口试训练营:
We have prepared ten engaging topics for students to enhance their oral expression skills and boost their confidence.
3. Reading Comprehension Techniques 阅读理解大侦探:
Learn how to understand better and analyze texts, mastering reading comprehension techniques, and improve their reading comprehension skills.
4. Listen, Read, and Recognize 听读识字奇妙营:
Students will enhance their listening, reading, and character identification abilities through various listening, reading, and character recognition exercises.
5. Revision and Mock Test 复习以及模拟考试:
On the last day, students will review what they've learned and take a mock test to prepare for the upcoming academic year.
In this five-day, we aim to improve the students' Chinese language skills holistically, ensuring they are well-prepared for their learning journey in the next semester!
模拟考试 Mock Exam Assessment:
1. Oral
It aims to replicate a natural exam environment, helping students better manage exam pressure and cultivate their test-taking abilities and mental resilience.
2. Paper One: Composition
We have prepared ten engaging topics for students to enhance their oral expression skills and boost their confidence.
3. Paper Two: Language and Usage Enrichment/ Reading Comprehension
Paper 2 will be comparable in difficulty and content to an actual exam, enabling students to understand exam requirements better and boost their confidence and preparedness.
4. Discussing the result:
Engage in discussions with the children about their mistakes, allowing them to understand the areas they need to improve.
作文课 Composition Writing Class:
1. Five Senses Approach
(Visual, Olfactory, Auditory, Tactile, Gustatory)
By engaging the five senses (sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste), we guide students to deeply perceive the environment within their writing, helping them vividly depict scenes and express emotions more concretely. Through activities involving touch, smell, taste, and listening, children enhance their observation skills and depth of thought and cultivate sensitivity to language and expression, making their compositions more captivating and compelling.
2. Creative Writing through Games
Through activities, students complete writing tasks, integrating games, hands-on experiences, and practical activities into the classroom, effectively stimulating children's desire to express themselves and their interest in writing.
3. Foundational Techniques in Composition Writing
Guiding students to grasp the foundational knowledge of writing, which includes understanding the topic, selecting materials, and brainstorming, enables them to understand the basic composition requirements thoroughly. This helps improve the coherence, logicality, and language expression abilities, thus making them more confident and organized in writing.
4. Techniques and Methods in Composition Writing
Guiding students to master intricate writing techniques enables them to understand how to elevate their composition skills to achieve higher standards. For instance, effective introductions, smooth transitions, and impactful conclusions aid them in showcasing deeper levels of thinking, richer imagination, and more precise expression in their writing. This cultivation enhances their writing abilities and nurtures their confidence and creativity throughout the writing process.
